THE MARK OF THE BEAST

It'll come to pass someday that the very things that we see Jehovah doing today, man (in the age to come) will die for things that we are talking about today. You'll have it when the Mark of the Beast comes on and you're not allowed to preach the Gospel this way.

The Mark of the Beast, which is Romanism, and the Image of the Beast, which is Protestantism…The Confederation of Churches!

What is it? What is it? Deceiving! These “glares”: what are they doing? They're leading the church to the “Council Slaughter” by their glares. That will be the Final Slaughter when she and Rome connect together, when they form that Image of the Beast — that's the Final Slaughter… It's the Denominational Goats today that're leading the innocent sheep to the slaughter. Put your names on their books yonder and you're finished. That is the Mark of the Beast. In the Name of the Lord I speak. I held that for a long time; that's true. What is the Beast? It's the Roman hierarchy, the first organisation. What is the Mark of the Beast? The same thing.

Now, somebody said, “There's going to be a Mark of The Beast, it's going to come someday.” Let me tell you: It's already come! See? As soon as the Holy Ghost begins to fall, the Mark of the Beast begins to take place, see? You only have two things: One of them is to accept the Holy Ghost to take the Seal of God; or to reject it and to take the Mark of the Beast. To reject the Seal of God is to take the Mark of the Beast. For the Bible said all that was not sealed by the Seal of God took the Mark of the Beast.

One of the great sins that the church has done today, just like Israel then, is that she has left Him, the Fountain of Living Water, and has hewed herself out man-made Cisterns. And it becomes a habitation of everything that loves that kind of water. Lizards, frogs, and all kinds of unclean germs live in it, because it's a man-made tank, and in this tank these things stay. A perfect example of our denominations today.
Now you'd say, “Bro. Branham, why do you strike at those people so hard?” It ought to be struck at. It's got to be struck at. Flee it! Because it will finally form the Mark of the Beast. Remember, that is the Truth. It will be the Mark of the Beast. Denominations will lead right to it! It's on its road right there now, to force by power…
Look, in the old Roman Empire, that's exactly what led to that mark of an apostasy. There'll only be Two Classes of people on the earth: Those with the Seal of God and those with the Mark of the Beast. Only two classes. So you'll have one or the other.
There'll be an Apostasy — a mark of religion, Apostate Religion, and it's going to have an Image unto the Beast. As we study we find out that Rome was, is, and always will be The Beast. Exactly. There's no way of getting anything else. Rome…what did Rome do? It was converted from Pagan Rome to Papal Rome and organized a system, a universal system, that forced everybody to that one religion or be put death…
And the Bible tells us that they said, “Let us make an Image unto the Beast”. An image is something like something else. And we can see it right now that in its apostate condition the church is forming the World Council of Churches, which is: The Image to the power of Rome: and will force upon the people the same thing that Pagan Rome did or Papal Rome did. So there's no other way; no other thing, and that is the Truth. And that's why I'm striking it, in my age, in my time, because it's got to be struck at. The call comes to: “Come out of her My people, that ye partake not of her sins.”

As Israel (Chosen People of God) in majority forfeited their rights in the Book of Life by rejecting Jesus, so the majority of the Gentile Church will also come into condemnation with the resultant removal of their names from the Book of Life by rejecting the Word and thereby entering into the World Ecumenical Movement which is: The Image erected unto the beast.

Don't join up with them organisations, because I'm telling you and proving by the Scriptures that it is the Mark of the Beast. Now stay away from those denominations! They are leading you to death!… Remember: get out from there… The Bride is being chosen, drawn out. I don't mean drawn out from Church, I mean “drawn out from denominations.” You must go to Church but don't join no organisation.

Now, remember, it was Imperial Pagan Rome that fell by the sword. But she was healed of her death stroke when she joined to the Nominal Christian Church of Rome and incorporated paganism and Christianity, and thereby became the Holy Roman Empire which was to endure until Jesus came and destroyed her. But Rome is not going it alone. Her Daughters are right with her and she will take over absolute authority by the World Council of Churches. This may seem far fetched to some but actually it is very plain for all to see because right now the Churches are controlling politics and at the opportune time will manifest exactly how great is that control. This Ecumenical Move will end up with Rome at the head even though the people did not envision it that way. This is so because in Rev.17:3-6 it states that the Whore, Mystery Babylon is seated on the Beast. She is controlling the last or fourth Empire. This Roman Church is doing that. With the World Church System under her Rome will be controlling, and this Image (Church System) will be obedient to Rome because Rome controls the Gold of the World. Thus, all the people have to belong to the World Church System or be at the mercy of the elements for they cannot buy or sell without the Mark of the Beast in the hand or head. This mark in the head means: That they will have to take the doctrine of the World Church System which is Trinitarianism, etc., and the mark in the hand which means: To do the will of the World Church. With this great power the Church Systems will persecute the True Bride. This Image will try to keep the Bride from preaching and teaching, etc. Her Ministers (of the Bride) will be forbidden to give comfort and Truth to the people who need it. But before the Antichrist (in person) takes over this complete World System of Churches the True Church will be taken away from this world to be with the Lord. God will catch away His Bride for the Great Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
